\u00a0Choir History:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDe Mvsica Antiqva<\/em>\u201d is an amateur group created in 2005, integrated by musicians and music lovers, that performs programs of works from authors as important as: Thomas Tallis, Palestrina, Tom\u00e1s Luis de Victoria or Crist\u00f3bal de Morales among others. We intend to select works that are not in the common repertoire of other local choirs and make them known to our public.<\/p>\n The choir gave its first concert in spring 2006, and since then we have offered recitals in the provinces of Salamanca, Le\u00f3n, C\u00e1ceres, \u00c1vila, Cantabria, Vitoria and Zamora, collaborating with several local institutions. In addition, \u201cDe Mvsica Antiqva\u201d has participated in several religious events, such as the proclamation of Holy Week in Pe\u00f1aranda de Bracamonte,\u00a0 the celebration of the 5th centenary of the beginning of the construction of the New Cathedral of Salamanca (2013) or the Poet before the Cross of the year 2018.<\/p>\n In addition to offering concerts in its more traditional style, the choir also offers other alternatives, such as the didactic concert, in which the basic concepts of the choral form are explained to children or old persons in a simple and enjoyable way. This type of concert has been offered at the Torrente Ballester Library, the auditorium of the City Council of Cabrerizos and at the pediatric wing of the University Hospital of Salamanca. Finally, the choir also offers thematic concerts, aimed at explaining to the public events or historical figures using the music that was composed in that era, using also texts and explanatory images.<\/p>\n Some of the latest projects of De Mvsica Antiqva include a concert at Vitoria Cathedral on October 15, 2016, and a guest performance at the first Anadia International Choir Festival (Portugal) in November 2017. We have also collaborated with the Proyecto Gu\u00eda guitar orchestra (http:\/\/www.proyectoguia.es\/) on two concerts in Ronda and Seville in December 2019, and another two in Salamanca and Candelario in December 2024. Furthermore, we would highlight our participation in various charity concerts, such as those supporting the eradication of Piam at the Church of San Sebasti\u00e1n (summer 2017); three benefit concerts with soprano Mar\u00eda Espada for Interm\u00f3n-Oxfam and the Salamanca Cancer Research Center (February 16 and October 30, 2018); and, more recently, a concert for the \u00abMil Caminos\u00bb Foundation in June 2024 and a collaboration with the AVIVA Association in December 2023. Finally, we wish to highlight\u2014for its emotional significance\u2014the concert the choir gave at the Plaza de V\u00edctimas del Terrorismo in Cabrerizos in September 2020; held outdoors and with masks worn, it took place in the midst of the pandemic. It was a moving event, especially given that artistic offerings were extremely scarce at the time.<\/p>\n This year, the choir celebrated the 20th anniversary of its first concert (Piedrahita, May 2006) with two concerts hold on May 31st and June 6 at M\u00aa Inmaculada church in Zamora and at the Cathedral of Salamanca. The consert in Salamanca was a very emotive moment with old members of the choir singing alongside current members and with many friends in the audience.<\/p>\n Camino Berciano Ramos \u2013Conductor-<\/p>\n She was born in Le\u00f3n and studied music at the Colegio Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Carmen. She subsequently carried out specialization studies in the Kod\u00e1ly system at the Kod\u00e1ly Institute in Kecskem\u00e9t, Hungary. She has a degree in Music Sciences, is a piano teacher as well as teacher of music theory, and music pedagogy. She has taught at the Music Conservatory of Melilla, at the I.E.S. \u00abRusadir\u00bb (Melilla), at the IES \u00abLeonardo da Vinci\u00bb of Alba de Tormes (Salamanca) and at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Salamanca among others.<\/p>\n He has been part of the University Choir of Le\u00f3n and the choir of the Kod\u00e1ly Institute in Kecskem\u00e9t, Hungary. In 2006, she became part of the Choir \u201cDe Mvsica Antiqva\u201d and from the summer of 2010 she began to work as director of the group. If you live in Salamanca or nearby, the schedule convinces you and you want to be part of a group with enthusiasm to do things right and have fun doing them, then your collaboration is welcome.<\/p>\n Additional Requirements:<\/p>\n 1- Have an ear for music. Candidates will be tested to check their tuning.<\/p>\n 2- Have sung in a choir before or have musical knowledge. The choir has a rhythm of rehearsal and learning to which you must adapt.
